Job Description
- Plan and manage deployment of all construction equipment required for highway and structural works.
- Ensure availability of key equipment such as excavators, graders, rollers, pavers, batching plants, and transit mixers as per work schedule.
- Coordinate with Highway and Structure teams for equipment requirement based on work fronts and priorities.
- Prepare equipment mobilization and demobilization plans for different project locations.
- Monitor equipment utilization and ensure optimum productivity across all work fronts.
- Track idle time, breakdowns, and equipment performance, and take corrective actions.
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery.
- Ensure timely repair and maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Maintain records of equipment usage, fuel consumption, and operating hours.
- Monitor fuel consumption and control wastage through proper tracking and reporting.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with store/purchase team for timely procurement.
- Ensure availability of trained operators and coordinate manpower requirements.
- Implement equipment safety practices and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
- Maintain equipment logbooks, service records, and maintenance history.
- Support planning team with equipment productivity inputs for scheduling and cost control.
- Identify requirement of additional equipment and justify based on site conditions and workload.
- Coordinate with vendors/service providers for repairs and specialized maintenance.
- Preference will be given to candidates having experience in SAP or similar ERP systems for equipment management, maintenance tracking, fuel monitoring, and cost control.
