Position Details
1. Civil Design Engineer – Hydro Power Sector
- Sector: Hydro Power
- Qualification: BE / B.Tech – Civil Engineering
- Preferred Qualification: M.Tech – Structural Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 15 Years
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, analysis, and design of medium to large hydropower projects
- Independent preparation of layouts, tender documents, BOQs, and bid evaluations
- Review and approval of contractor/designer drawings and design submissions
- Design and detailing of hydro structures including:
- Dams (mandatory experience)
- Barrages
- Tunnels
- Powerhouse
- Underground works
- Conduct feasibility studies and due diligence assignments
- Preparation and review of construction drawings, technical specifications, MQP, and FQP
- Coordination with clients and stakeholders to resolve technical and project-related issues
Desired Skillset
- Hands-on experience in detailed engineering of at least one 25 MW+ hydro project
- Mandatory experience in dam design
- No site execution experience preferred
- Proven ability to lead teams in a consulting environment
- Strong expertise in RCC and foundation design using Indian and international codes
- Proficiency in software:
- STAAD Pro
- ETABS
- ANSYS
- NISA
- AutoCAD
- Experience in dynamic analysis, BOM/BOQ preparation, and switchyard/substation structures
- Strong communication and project management skills
