Job Summary
Samsung C&T is looking for an experienced Senior QA/QC Manager – Civil with a strong civil engineering background and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in quality assurance and quality control for large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate should have proven experience working on PMC projects and high-rise buildings, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards, and coordinating with consultants, contractors and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the QA/QC function for civil and structural works across the project.
- Develop, implement and monitor the Quality Assurance & Quality Control Plan (QAP/QCP).
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs and applicable codes and standards.
- Review and approve method statements, ITPs, checklists and quality procedures.
- Monitor the quality of civil and structural works, including RCC reinforcement, formwork, waterproofing, masonry, plastering and finishing works.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to identify non-conformities and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Coordinate with PMC consultants, architects, contractors and project teams on quality-related matters.
- Review material approvals, test certificates and laboratory reports.
- Implement NCR, CAR and preventive/corrective action procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation and quality records.
- Provide regular quality reports and updates to senior management.
- Lead and mentor the QA/QC team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 15 years of overall experience in civil construction and QA/QC.
- Mandatory experience on PMC / Project Management Consultancy projects.
- Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use or large-scale building projects.
Preferred Profile
- Candidates with experience in large-scale high-rise projects, premium residential developments, commercial towers or major mixed-use developments.
- Good knowledge of IS Codes, specifications and international quality standards.
- Strong communication, coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills.
