Senior Mid-Level – Transport Management Center (TMC)
- Function: Supply Chain/Central Logistics – Transport Management Center
- Role Level: Senior Management
- Location: Corporate – Mumbai office
- Coverage: Domestic Transportation, Project Logistics, LSP Management, TMS & Logistics Performance Governance
Role Purpose
- Responsible for end-to-end governance, performance and continuous improvement of transportation and logistics operations across factories, projects, warehouses and business units.
- Direct accountability for OTIF, delivery reliability, vehicle placement, transportation cost versus budget, detention control, shipment visibility, LSP performance, contract compliance, TMS adoption and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Operate as a central logistics control tower to ensure cost-effective, compliant, digitally enabled and performance-driven transportation while maintaining high service levels.
Required Competencies
- Transportation & Logistics Operations; Logistics Control Tower Management; Domestic & International Logistics.
- Project Cargo / ODC / OWC; Freight Sourcing & LSP Management; Customs & EXIM Process Understanding.
- Transportation Contracts & SLA Management; Logistics Cost & Budget Management; Detention & Demurrage Management.
- TMS / SAP / ERP / GPS Tracking; Logistics Analytics & Management Reporting; Root-Cause Analysis & CAPA.
- Commercial Negotiation; Risk Management & Compliance; Stakeholder Management; Team Leadership & Senior Management Communication.
Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, Management or equivalent.
- Additional Qualification: MBA/PG qualification in Supply Chain, Operations or Logistics.
- Certification: Certification in International Trade.
- Experience: 15–20 years of relevant experience with significant leadership exposure in transportation, logistics, supply chain or project logistics.
