Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deploy and manage various construction plant and machinery to ensure timely execution of project activities.
- Monitor equipment utilization to ensure optimum use and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate regular servicing, preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance of all plant and machinery.
- Ensure availability of spares, consumables and lubricants for smooth operations.
- Maintain equipment logbooks, inspection reports, maintenance records and utilization reports.
- Coordinate with vendors, OEMs and service providers for timely maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, statutory and environmental norms.
- Control operating costs including fuel consumption, repairs and maintenance expenses.
- Support in planning and procurement of new equipment as per project requirements.
- Prepare MIS reports on equipment performance, availability and cost control.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Plant & Machinery management in Building & Infrastructure Projects.
- Good knowledge of construction equipment such as Tower Cranes, Mobile Cranes, Excavators, Loaders, Backhoe, Batching Plants, DG Sets, Air Compressors, Hoists, Piling Rigs, etc.
- Experience in equipment maintenance, deployment and cost management.
- Strong analytical, coordination and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting.
- Valid driving license is preferable.
