📌Position Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring quality, and managing the technical aspects of electrical engineering projects.
Experience & Education:
- Education: B.Tech Electrical
- Experience: 15 to 25 years
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Department Head / Director MEP to distribute workload and monitor and control progress against man-hour budgets.
- Review effectiveness, efficiency and competence of the team with the Department Head and have the ability to renowned positive changes.
- Assist the Department Head of identifying training requirements, and competencies which need to be improved.
- Assist the Department Head in identifying the need for new staff, preparing job descriptions / MRF,s reviewing CV”s, interviewing and selecting candidates.
- Manage the technical delivery of projects and designs, Manage the MEP concept designs and affect execution strategies for projects.
- Manage the technical performance of the team; promote innovative, sustainable, code compliant, value engineered designs.
- At Concept Design (CD) and /or Schematic Design (SD) stage, ensure that appropriate concepts are proposed and that these have been tested and Value Engineered, and that they comply with project and code requirements.
- Monitor departmental project progress, and report to Department Head on actual or anticipated time and/or man-hour over-runs.
- Carry out high level design reviews at appropriate internals during the design process. At a minimum, this will be at the end of each design stage. However, interim reviews may be required.
- Anticipate and solve technical difficulties for projects which present new challenges to the core experience of the department.
- Assist the Department Head in maintaining up to date software, codes, standards, design methods, etc and disseminating new information through the department.
- Assist the Department Head in ensuring a positive professional attitude in the Department’s dealings with other design desciplines , clients and other members of the project team.
- Provide technical leadership within the team and serve as lead for specific clients / projects when assigned by the Department Head.
- Assist subordinate staff with technical accuracy and quality assurance for projects.
- Provide guidance, training and supervision to professional, technical and support staff on a project basis.
- Provide high-quality service to clients in a flexible, innovative, responsive and cost effective manner.
