Position Details:
- Position: Junior Quantity Surveyor
- Location: Mumbai – Head Office
- Reporting To: Senior Quantity Surveyor / HOD Tendering
- Industry: Construction / Infrastructure / Real Estate
- Salary: As per industry standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Quantity Take-Offs: Assist in preparing accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and specs.
- Cost Estimation: Support in developing preliminary and detailed cost estimates.
- BOQ Preparation: Coordinate with engineering teams for accurate Bills of Quantities.
- Tendering Support: Prepare tender documents, bid evaluations, and comparative analysis.
- Rate Analysis: Analyze rates for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Site Measurement & Verification: Work with site teams for measurement sheets and verification.
- Billing Support: Assist in creating client and subcontractor bills.
- Cost Control: Monitor project costs and highlight budget variances.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain cost records and generate reports.
- Vendor Coordination: Handle rate negotiations and certification processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management
- Experience: Total 3 years, with 1–2 years in QS or cost estimation for infrastructure projects
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD
- Knowledge of CostX, Candy, or other QS software
- Familiar with standard methods of measurement and tender documentation
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Good communication and reporting ability
Preferred Certifications:
- Quantity Surveying or Construction Cost Management
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is a plus
Working Conditions:
- Office-based role in Mumbai
- Occasional site visits as needed
- Flexibility to work extended hours during project deadlines
